How to measure a dog for a harness
Use a soft tape around the chest at the widest point, then compare the number with the brand’s current chart.
Do not guess by breed
Dogs of the same breed or weight can have different proportions. Measure neck and chest where the harness maker requests.
Check the fit
A harness should be secure without rubbing or limiting normal movement. Recheck puppies and dogs whose body condition changes.
